- Are cash advances available?
- Yes. Cash advances are available and are determined based on personal qualifications.
- Are HAS Advantage Cardmembers eligible for traveler's insurance?
- Yes. As a HAS Advantage Cardmember you are eligible for: - Travel accident insurance - $500,000 of coverage when you purchase tickets for travel on common carriers with your Visa Card. - Auto rental insurance - when you charge your entire car rental on your Select Rewards Visa Platinum Card. (Not including Israel, Jamaica , or the Republic of Ireland of Northern Ireland)
- Can I manage my account online?
- Yes. You can view your credit card account, balance and rewards points on the U.S. Bank website. Simply visit www.usbank.com and click on the enroll in internet banking link located in the Internet Banking box on the right hand side of the page. Follow the instructions and activate online banking for your account.
- Can I pay my bill online?
- Yes. You can link one of your existing (U.S. Bank and non-U.S. Bank) accounts to your HAS Advantage card and pay your credit card bill online. There is no need to have a bank account with U.S. Bank. To pay your HAS Advantage credit card bill online, log in to your account at . Next, click on make a payment on the left hand side. Follow the instructions and link one of your existing checking or savings accounts to your HAS Advantage credit card account.
- Can I pay other bills (aside from the HAS Advantage credit card bill) from my U.S. Bank online account, if I do not have a U.S. Bank checking / savings account?
- No. If the only account you have with U.S. Bank is your HAS Advantage credit card, you cannot pay other bills online. To do so, you must first open a standard checking or savings account with U.S. Bank. Your HAS Advantage credit card is only a credit card account and not a bank account.
- Can I use the card in Israel?
- Yes. The card can be used worldwide at any merchant accepting Visa credit cards.
- Can I withdraw cash from an ATM with my HAS Advantage credit card?
- Yes. To retrieve your PIN, please contact U.S. Bank at 1-800-285-8585 and your PIN will be mailed to you.
- Does it cost money to join?
- No. Becoming a HAS cardmember is completely FREE. There are no hidden fees involved. No application fee and no annual fee for holding the card.
- How can I find out about card benefits?
- How does a balance transfer work?
- When applying for the HAS Advantage card over the phone at 1-800-853-5576 ext 8676, you may ask the customer service representative to fill out a request for a balance transfer. If you apply through another channel, contact U.S. Bank and the bank will mail you a balance transfer form. Fill out the form, providing the required information, and U.S. Bank will contact the creditor for you and will arrange for the balance transfer. For more information regarding balance transfers, call 1-800-853-5576 ext 8676.
- How many cards can I have on my account?
- You can have 1 additional joint cardholder who will also be responsible for repayment of the account. In addition, 2 cardholders that will not be responsible for the account may be added, including children over the age of 16.
- If I transfer my balance, will U.S. Bank close my existing accounts?
- No. U.S. Bank simply rolls over the balance and becomes your new creditor for the balance by transferring the balance without closing any accounts.
- Is the HAS Advantage card a standard Visa credit card?
- Yes. The HAS Advantage card functions as a standard Visa card with the additional benefits of the HAS Rewards program, and the ability to support Israel-related charities without any additional out of pocket expenditure.
- Is there a fee for balance transfers?
- Is there an additional charge for using the card internationally?
- Yes. The standard Visa conversion fee of 3% will be added to all international charges.
- Is there an annual fee?
- Once I apply for a balance transfer, do I immediately stop paying my existing creditors?
- No. U.S. Bank recommends that you continue to pay your creditor until you receive a written confirmation from U.S. Bank that the balance transfer has been completed.
- What is the APR?

- What is the HAS Advantage card?
- The HAS Advantage card functions as a regular Visa credit card. The card is issued together with US Bank and offers the same features as your standard Visa card. In addition, the HAS Advantage card offers two unique features: (1)Charity - For each purchase made with your HAS Advantage card, HAS will donate a portion of the charge to the charity of your choice. HAS is affiliated with many charities that support Israel-related causes. As a HAS cardmember you may choose to financially support up to 5 organizations from a list of participating charities. (2)Rewards - For each dollar spent on your HAS Advantage card, your account will be credited with one HAS Point. As you accumulate HAS Points you may redeem them for tickets on EL AL Airlines, domestic and International travel packages, brand-name merchandise, gift certificates and Judaica.
- What will be my credit limit?
- Credit limits are determined on an individual basis. U.S. Bank will determine your credit limit based on a number of different criteria.
- When do I get my bill?
- You will receive your HAS Advantage bill monthly from U.S. Bank. The date of your billing cycle will be determined on the day your application is approved. In addition, you can view and pay bills online at www.USBank.com.

- The card is accepted worldwide at the millions of locations that accept VISA.
- Which bank is issuing the HAS Advantage card?
- The HAS Advantage card is issued and serviced by U.S. Bank. U.S. Bank is a subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp, the 6th largest financial services holding company in the United States with assets totaling more than $200 billion.
- Who can apply for the card?
- Any U.S. citizen over the age of 18 with a valid social security number and a U.S. address earning a minimum of $12,000 a year.

- Heritage Affinity Services (HAS) combines the skill, knowledge and commitment of several of the most experienced personalities in the credit card industry and the Jewish non-profit world. The company maintains its headquarters in the New York area in addition to a satellite office in Jerusalem.
- What kind of charities does HAS support?
- Heritage Affinity Services has established a network of Israeli and Israel-related charities that encompass the breadth of charitable giving and impact the very fabric of Israeli society, including: hospitals, social service agencies, education and research programs, emergency services, environmental and community development organizations etc. In addition, HAS is a privately held company that does not promote or affiliate with any single religious denomination or political entity.

- The HAS Advantage card was created in 2002 by Heritage Affinity Services, a privately held company, committed to the concept of a competitive rewards credit card that allows its members to simultaneously support Israel through every purchase. - Am I billed for the charitable donations?
- No. The charitable donation is not billed to your account. HAS makes the contribution on your behalf, based on a percentage of your net purchases.
- Can I change my list of selected charities?
- Yes. You may change your list by adding or removing charities at any time. However, please note that the charity or charities selected on the last day of the calendar quarter will receive the donation revenue for the entire past quarter
- Can I select the charities that receive my donation?
- Yes. You may select up to five charities which will be the recipients of revenue generated from your purchases. Your selection must be from the list of participating charities.
- How do I select/update my charity list?
- Log on to your account at www.usbank.com. Click on your credit card account located in the table at the center of the page. Next, click on View Your Rewards at the center of the page. Finally, click on select/change charity.
You can also select/update your charities via the HAS Advantage call center 1-866-6-ISRAEL.
- How does the charity component of the program work?
- Each time your make a purchase with your HAS Advantage card, HAS will donate a portion of your purchase to the charities of your choice. Cardmembers select their preferred charities from a growing list of participating charities. You may select up to 5 charities from a broad array of categories.
- How many charities can I choose to support?
- You may select up to five charities.
- How much money goes to charity?
- The great thing about the HAS Advantage card is that you decide how you want to use your card. You can use your card as an "Affinity card" or as a "Rewards card" or both. If you would like the card to exclusively benefit charity, then you can donate your points and 1% of all purchases will be donated to the charities of your choice. Even if you choose not to donate your points, HAS will still donate a portion of each purchase to your favorite charities.
- Is the charitable donation tax deductible?
- No. Since you are not actually issuing the donation, tax deductions are not applicable. For more information, please consult with your personal financial advisor.
- Must I select 5 charities or can I choose less?
- No. You can select from one to five. The donations made from your net purchases will be divided accordingly.
- When is the donation to the charity made?
- The donation is made at the end of each quarter.
- When will the changes made to my charity list take effect?
- HAS makes the donation to the charities at the end of each quarter. The charities on your list at the end of the quarter are the charities that will receive the donation. Therefore, the final day of the quarter is the day that determines who will receive the charitable donation. Changes made throughout the quarter have no impact.
- Which charities are participating?
- To see the current list of participating charities visit our website at www.hasadvantage.com and click on charitable organizations. New charities are constantly being added to ensure that you have a wide range of causes from which to choose.
- Who is paying for the charitable donation?
- HAS and U.S. Bank on your behalf.
- Will I be solicited by the charities that I have selected?
- No. The participating charities do not have access to any of your information (unless you provide it to them outside of the context of this program) and they may not solicit you for any purpose.

- Are there blackout periods?
- Can I combine my Matmid points with my HAS points?
- Yes. You can transfer HAS points from your HAS account to your Matmid account (but not in the reverse). For Example: if you currently have 1,000 Matmid points and require an additional 400 Matmid points to qualify for a free ticket, you can supplement those 400 points from your HAS points.
- Can I use my HAS points to upgrade a plane ticket on EL AL?
- Yes. As an EL AL Matmid member you can convert your HAS Advantage points into Matmid points and apply them towards an upgrade.
- Can I view my Rewards account online?
- Yes. Your HAS Advantage account is completely accessible and manageable online. By logging in to your account at www.usbank.com, you can view your credit card balance, make payments, view your total accumulated HAS Rewards points, and redeem points.
- Do HAS Advantage points ever expire?
- HAS points remain in your account for a period of 5 years from the end of the quarter in which they were earned.
- For what rewards can I redeem my HAS Points?
- You can redeem your HAS Points for miles on EL AL Airlines, domestic and International travel, brand-name merchandise, gift certificates and Judaica. In addition, at HAS we are constantly working with our partners and affiliates in order to further enhance our Rewards program. We continue to expand the array of merchandise and services available to HAS cardmembers.
- How can I check my HAS Rewards points balance?
- Simply log in to your account online at www.usbank.com. Click on your HAS Advantage credit card link located in the center table. Click on the Check Your Rewards link at the top of the page.
- How do I redeem my Rewards points?
- Simply log in to your account online at www.usbank.com. Click on your HAS Advantage credit card link located in the center table. Click on the Check Your Rewards link at the top of the page. This link will take you to our Rewards Center. Once you are in the Rewards Center, click the Browse Rewards link on the left hand side and select the rewards for which you wish to redeem your points.
- How do I redeem points for an EL AL ticket?
- If you are not yet an EL AL Matmid frequent flyer member, go to: www.elal.co.il and save $5 from the $15 registration fee. Once you are a member call EL AL Israel Airlines at 1-800-223-6700 or 212-768-9200 (in New York City) to make your reservation. Tell the representative you intend to use frequent flyer miles - this may limit availability. Once you have made your reservation, call 1-888-229-8864 (HAS Advantage points customer service) and transfer your HAS Advantage points to your Matmid account. Allow 14 business days to complete a transfer.

- The current redemption rate for a free EL AL ticket is 56,000 HAS Advantage points for one economy class ticket (LA 72,000). In addition, as a Matmid member, you may supplement your Matmid points using your HAS Advantage points. The conversion ratio is 40 HAS Advantage points for each Matmid point.
- Is there a maximum number of points that I can earn each month or year?
- No. Unlike many other credit cards, there is no cap to the number of points you can earn.
- Must I be a Matmid member in order to redeem for an EL AL ticket?
- If you are not yet an EL AL Matmid frequent flyer member, go to: www.elal.co.il to register and save $5 from the $15 registration fee.

- When do I get my first Rewards statement?
